The Corn Palace will be closed the following holidays: - Easter
- Thanksgiving
- Friday, December 23rd at noon, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Monday the 26th
- New Years Eve, New Years Day, President's Day, Veteran's Day and Native American Day.

Every year, unless there is drought or some unforeseen reason the crops do not do well.

Over 275,000 ears of corn are used in redecorating the Corn Palace.

All the colors of corn are naturally grown with special seed raised just for the Corn Palace. Each color must be planted in separate fields to maintain its pure color.
