[ARCHIVED] Williams and Ree to take the Corn Palace Stage

The Corn Palace Festival Committee is pleased to announce the music and comedy of Williams and Ree will be taking the stage at the 2021 Corn Palace festival on Thursday, August 26th.  Tickets will go on sale at the Corn Palace box office Monday at 9 am, online at 10 am.  Reserved tickets will be $20 and $15 for general admission.

 Following the retirement of Johnny Rivers earlier this month, entertainment options were considered that could draw in fans with a variety show.  Local favorites, The Something New Band will open the Thursday night performance at 7 pm, “The Indian and The White Guy will take the stage at approximately 8 pm.

 Williams and Ree, Aka The Indian and The WhiteGuy, are a music and comedy phenomenon. This long running duo eschews political correctness and conformity and spins comedy gold from the union of a Plains Indian (Terry Ree) and a Western Angloid (Bruce Williams). The framework surrounding the comedic pair is music, which has earned them a CMA vocal duo nomination. Their television credits include Country Kitchen, HeeHaw, Laff TV and Comedy Central. They currently host Country Thunder Music Festivals around North America and are featured on Sirius Radio. Recently appearing on the Grand Ole Opry and now taking the Corn Palace stage once again.

 The 2021 Corn Palace Festival runs August 25-29 on Mitchell’s Main Street with amusement rides, food and specialty vendors and five days of entertainment in and around the Corn Palace.  See the complete schedule of events and buy tickets at www.cornpalace.com
